Description
The fast and precise method for testing pathogens plays a significant role to limit the spread of a pandemic. The team developed a concept based on the ECsens technology that allows to tests against COVID-19 with comparable accuracy to PCR tests. The team proposes two versions for a test station. A fixed self-service station in analogy to phone boxes installed in communities, that citizens can access at any time when clarity about their own health situation is needed. A second mobile version can be installed in doctors’ offices or at event locations where negative tests are required for access.
The participants of the iPDP-course of the HAMK-Design factory and the inno.space worked with the technology ECsens, a lab-on-a-chip platform for liquid biopsies.
