Description
Unavoidable CO2 emissions from the cement industry are a pressing issue contributing significantly to climate change. A.C.C.O.S (Algae-based Carbon Capturing Facility On Site) addresses this challenge by providing a modular microalgae CO2 capturing system. These systems efficiently capture CO2 emissions, mitigating environmental impact. A.C.C.O.S operates by immediately capturing emissions at the source, preventing their release into the atmosphere and thus directly reducing the carbon footprint of cement production. In addition to capturing CO2, the microalgae used in A.C.C.O.S convert the captured carbon into biomass, which can be utilized for various products such as biofuels, fertilizers, and bioplastics. This process not only helps in carbon sequestration but also creates valuable by-products, promoting a circular economy and reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
