Description
Reach the invisible, defeat the enemy: robotic innovation for surgeon assistance. Robotics, artificial intelligence, and biomedicine converge in Hyper-eye assistant, a robotic arm equipped with a multiphoton microscope for hyperspectral analysis capable of performing laser ablation. Hyper-eye is able to recognize different cell types, including nerve and tumour ones, and then, through the use of laser ablation, it can specifically target the detected cancer cells and destroy them in a precise manner. Our aim is to improve the efficiency and accuracy of tissue imaging and cell identification to ensure more effective and less risky surgeries avoiding accidental nerve resection.
