Description
Improperly discarded lithium-Ion batteries cause an increasing amount of fires and explosions in recycling centres and landfills, affecting the environment and human health and safety. We have come up with a system which detects the batteries hidden between the garbage in the transfer station, enabling workers to extract these from the waste. This solution is based on imaging sensors bundled with AI. The non-invasive properties of Terahertz sensors allow for safe implementation.
Our system will contribute to tackling these issues, as well as raising awareness regarding the importance of proper recycling of the constantly increasing amount of battery-based products.
